He was predeceased by: his parents, David F. Rothwell and Charlotte Geho Rothwell; and his son John Bassett Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Wyvonna Eileen Vandruff Rothwell; his daughter Charlotte Rothwell McDonough of Wellsburg, WV; his daughter-in-law Marsha Bassett; his sister Margaret "Margie" Hensler (Bill) of Wellsburg, WV; his grandchildren, John K Bassett Jr. (Brittany), Tyler Bassett (Jessica) and Ashley McDonough; and his great grandchildren, Aria Bassett, Carson, Paisely, Savannah and Eli Butler.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Reasner Funeral Home (1515 Charles St, Wellsburg, WV 26070). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
