It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ervel Raymond Jones of Welch, West Virginia, who passed away on May 7, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Jones and Thelma Jones; and his daughter Lisa Reneé Jones. He is survived by: his wife Janice Wilson Jones; his daughter Janna; his son-in-law Barry Jones; his son Jeff; his daughter-in-law Jeannie Jones; his sister Barbara Shutt; and his grandchildren, Caitlin (Mat), Andrew (Sarah) and Ashley (Michael). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Iredell County Sheriff's Department, Samaritan's Purse, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
