With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Jesse Morgan of Welch, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 10, 2025 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sonnie Morgan and Tessie Morgan; his son Deven Patrick Morgan; and his siblings, Rodger, David, Rodney and Annice Morgan Hickox.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Mays Morgan of Welch; his son P. J. Morgan (Jana) of Fredericksburg, VA; his siblings, Sonny Morgan (Helen) of Franklin, OH, Chalmer Morgan (Deborah) of Mabscott, WV, Cameron Morgan (Lesa) of Jesse, WV, Hassel Morgan (Carolyn) of Beaver, WV, Delores Morgan Ferrell (Kenneth) of Grandview, WV, Betty Morgan Beavers (Roy) of Charlotte, NC, Darlene Morgan Hatfield (Hibbard) of Shady Spring, WV and Pamela Morgan Linkous (James) of Lester, WV; and his grandchildren, Abriana Morgan (Abby) of Aurora, IL and D. J. Morgan II of Fredericksburg, VA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Douglas Mortuary Chapel (157 Wyoming St, Welch, WV 24801). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
