He was predeceased by: his mother Vera Via; his children, Ronald Barnett Sr., Timothy Johnson Sr. and Toni Fowler; and his granddaughter Ramona Danielle Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Curtis Sr. (Jeanette Barnett) of Fairview, Ellis Barnett Sr. of Kimball, Cynthia Johnson-Robinson of Prosper, Clarence W. Via Jr. of Columbus and Steven L. Via of Princeton; his grandchildren, Tamira Sawyers-Hightower, Latarsha Johnson, Latisha Barnett, Ronald Barnett Jr., Curtis Barnett Jr., Dr. Marquis Barnett, Timothy Johnson Jr., Sherissa Allen, Timara Johnson-Dyer, Benita Collier, Antonio Barnett, Chantal Woodward, Trenton Stanley, Ellis Barnett Jr., Stephanie Barnett, Antonio Price and Johnathan Barnett; his niece Shirley Hayes-George; and his friend Ann Easley. He is also survived by great-grandchildren, his nephews.
