William Lynn Richards Obituary

William Lynn Richards, 85, of Weirton WV passed away on Wednesday April 17, 2024 at Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville Ohio. He was born on November 27, 1938 in Clarksburg WV, a son of the late Ralph and Bessie Richards.

He was proceeded in death by his step daughter Linda Mencanin and step son Roger L. Virden. Bill graduated from Weir High School class of 1957. He was a former employee of Weirton Steel Corporation in the Accounting department for 47 years and The Homer Laughlin China company for 30+ years.

In his younger years he enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and was known for his beautiful Corvettes. Bill is survived by his daughter Lori (Dale) Gerst, his step daughter Lesa Cupini, sister Sandy (Bob) Yoby and his grandchildren Douglas Spanovich, Victoria (William) Lollini, Troy Gerst, Cassidy Gerst, Jessica Cupini (Jason) , Cierra (Matthew) Kipp and Julia (Brandon) Macaluso.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank Woodland Hills Assisted Living and Valley Hospice for their exceptional care. Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
