He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Rose Smarrella (Tunno) and Eugene Smarrella; his wife Cindy Smarrella (D'Aurora) of Ashburn, VA; his son John Thomas Smarrella (JT) of Follansbee, WV; his brother Eugene Smarrella of Weirton; his stepchildren, Monica Johnson (Eric), Brian Baker (Nicole) and Andrea Palcic (Daniel); his grandchildren, Sophia, Nina, Lilah, James, Cole, Lucy, Maria, Isaac, Dominic and Anthony; his caregiver Joy Thompson; his friend Simbo; and his grandson Tom. He was also cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
