He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Koon, and Paulene Smith Koon, Sr.; his wife Mary Pascarella Koon; and his half-siblings, Harley, Robert, Wilbert, Larry Koon and Betty Bickerstaff.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Jr. of Jupiter, FL. and Charles Koon of Jupiter, FL.; his stepchildren, William McGivern of McDonald, PA., Allan McGivern of Youngstown, OH. and Lisa M. Alexander (Leonard) of Monongahela, PA.; his niece Donna Cooper (Emmett) of Weirton; his grandchildren, Amber, RJ, Justin, Abbie Koon and Harlee Casimi; his sister Carol Boyer; his stepgrandchildren, Shawn Michael, Nicole Lynn Alexander, Melissa Ann Zyski, Billy and Drake McGivern; and his close friend Ruth Sperry.
