Melvin of Weirton, West Virginia, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 13, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Otto Ransom and Marie Barbara Veverka Ransom; her husband James Norcia; her children, Mary Anne Hood, James Norcia and Robert Melvin; and her siblings, Katherine Rutherford and Howard "Bud" Ransom.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine Jones (Timothy), Carolyn Norcia, Geri Gibbs (late Rick), Sandra Lee Melvin and Richard Melvin (Linda C.); her brother David Ransom (Donna); and her brother-in-law John Melvin (Karen). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren.
