With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Frank Thomas Bowers of Weirton, West Virginia, born in Wheeling, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 1, 2024 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Bowers and Betty J. Kemper Bowers Ellis; his stepfather Jacob Ellis; his brother Jack Bowers; his sister-in-law Janis; and his sister Betty Jane Bowers.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Sue Apitzsch Bowers; his daughters, Lori Grimm (Darryl) and Mindy Matson (Eric); his sister Joan Bowers of Texas; and his grandchildren, Dr. Courtney Matson (Phil Fleischer) of Maryland, Rileigh Matson (Josh Ronkette) of Maryland and Nicole Grimm (Dan Sachs) of Maryland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
