We are sad to announce that on February 5, 2025, at the age of 95, Evelyn Svokas of Weirton, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her daughter Marianne Svokas; her husband George G. Svokas; her son Nicholas Svokas; and her siblings, Nicholas Exarhos and Marie Glasure.
She is survived by: her children, Gus "Chuck" Svokas (Barbara), Thomas Svokas (Ruthie Jones) and Vivian Dunn; her grandchildren, Amy Svokas (Mike Ziklo), Steve Svokas (Jaime), Andrew Svokas Natalie Tye (Briannica), Stephanie Svokas (Steve Schultz) and Nick Svokas; and her great grandchildren, Gage, Gianna Svokas, Zoe'Nicole, Noah and Liv Tye.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home (3219 Main St, Weirton, WV 26062). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the All Saints Greek Orthodox Church (3528 West St, Weirton, WV 26062).
