Ernest H. McCormick Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 8, 2023, at the age of 81, Ernest H. McCormick of Weirton, West Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest McCormick and Rotha McCormick; his former wife Lorraine Cappelli McCormick; his sisters, Betty Lou Amweller, Darlene Sutton and Mary Alice George; and his siblings-in-law, Tom Sutton, Ben George and Doris McCormick.

He is survived by: his wife Frances McCormick; his stepchildren, Francie Reppy (Mike), Linda Spanovich and Luci Nichols (Steve); and his brother Darell McCormick. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.

In memory of Ernie, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Valley Hospice North or the American Cancer Society.

“Ernie was a neighbor, mentor and a friend to all. He personally taught me many skills that I still use today. Many things he taught me helped me in my 40 years as a First Responder and being a better man. I built a lot of memories with the McCormick Family and cherish every one of them. I am extremely saddened by the passing of Ernie and will keep his family in my thoughts and prayers. Prayers for Tess and Mike my friends from Willow Street.”
