As Darlene departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph (Margaret A. Cercone Javorsky) and Darlene; and her husband Dr. John Emil Capito of Paul's Cemetery. She is survived by: her sons, John Emil Capito II and Dr. Joseph Evan Capito (Meredith); her granddaughters, Violet and Bridget; and her friend Dar.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Weirton Madonna High School or Saint Joseph the Worker Grade School. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Darlene Capito 's name.
