She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Kontis and Irene Kontis (Halakas); her brother Angelo Kontis; her nephew Joseph Wemple; and her brother-in-law Richard Wemple.
She is survived by: her children, Nikki Ann Johnston and Peter Johnston of Weirton; her sisters, Lillian Wemple of Orlando, Florida and Helen Fouty (Roy) of Weirton; her nieces, Alyson Degenhardt (Gordon) and Stacie Upright (Curt) of Weirton; her great-nieces, Alayna Degenhardt and Melina Upright; her great-nephew Grant Upright of Weirton; her nieces, Cyndi McCambridge and Tiffani Mavrakis (Emmanuel); her nephew Bruce Wemple (Dena) of Orlando, Florida.; and her caregivers, Trina, Diana, Weirton Geriatric, Rhonda, Manager of Sunny Brook, Scott, Crystal and Chaplain George.
