She was predeceased by: her parents, William Spencer and Delphia Minda Childers Wells; her son James David Powell; her brothers, Edgar, Ralph, William Ray, Paul, Donald and Harold Wells; her stepbrother Forrest Glenn Wells; her sisters, Pearl Starkey and Garnet Wells; and her stepsister Amanda Wells.
She is survived by: her husband Chester; her children, Carl (June Smith), Larry Powell and Linda Darlene Corwin; and her grandchildren, April Simms (Clinton), Christopher Powell, Brandy Cooke (Tim), Ashley Oneal (Danny) and Brandon Corwin (Zarina). She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
