Anthony M. Vagnozzi Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony M. Vagnozzi of Weirton, West Virginia, who passed away on January 23, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Vagnozzi and Catherine Consalvo Vagnozzi; the mother of his children Josephine Berarducci Vagnozzi; his wife Dorothy Rawls Vagnozzi; and his son Frank William Vagnozzi.
He is survived by: his daughter Roxanne Sonder (Mark); his significant other Shirley Washam; his siblings, Esther Dotts, Joseph Vagnozzi (Dreama) and Luanne Carroll (Rick); his grandson Brandon Craig Battista (Dani); his great grandchild Niccolo Anthony "Nico" Battista; and his granddaughter Jade Yelvington. He is also survived by his niece, nephews, great nephew, cousins and many friends who were touched by his generosity.
The West Virginia University Human Gift Registry is grateful for Tony's wish to donate his body to science. Memorial contributions may be made in Tony's name to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the Hancock County Humane Society.
