He is survived by: his wife Esta Trenter McElwain; his children, Paula Vandevender (Dewayne) of Webster Springs, Richard McElwain of North Carolina, Lori Littleton (Derrick) of Alabama, Robert Cogar (Lisa) of Bolair and Waymon Cogar (Christina) of St. Albans; his siblings, Jim McElwain of Indiana, Robert McElwain of Clarksburg and Carolyn Blanko of Florida; and his grandchildren, Seth, Megan, Logan, Loryn, Brevin, Jayden, Gaven, Lola and Ashley. He is also survived by other extended family and friends.
