He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hughes and Vivian Lucille Mace Hughes of Mill Creek, WV.; and his granddaughter Taitlyn Hughes. He is survived by: his wife Shelia Rae Hines Hughes; his sister Sherry Hughes Thomas (Harl); his sons, John II Hughes (Jamie) and Christopher Hughes (Carrie); his stepchildren, William Hatley and Shawna Hatley; his cousin Michael Mace; his grandchildren, Darian Hughes Weaver (Colby), Kate Hatley Lyons (Matt), Morgan Hughes, Shae Hines, Logan Hughes, Dylan Hughes, Jet Hines, Brantley Hughes and Xander Hughes; and his great grandchildren, Colton Weaver, Hayden Lyons and Lydia Lyons.
