James Flare Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Flare (Webster Springs, West Virginia), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 14, 2019 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Nickie Flare Steiding (Steve) of Buckhannon, WV, Lisa Flare of Grass Valley, CA, Jamie Hamrick (Jennings) of Diana, WV, Chasity Garrett (Willy) of Webster Springs, WV, James Rogers of Harrisburg, VA, Leroy Flare (Tracy) of Medina, OH and David Gilles of Webster Springs, WV; his grandchildren, Heather Prentiss, Samantha Flare, Karissa Flare, Leah Rogers, Adalee Gilles, Aron James Gilles, Rylan James Hamrick, Cody James Flare, William Cressie Garrett Jr. and Timothy James Garrett; his brother Gerald Flare (Winnie) of Swiss, WV; his nephew Joshua Flare (Kim); his niece Jessica Lanham (JD); and his pet Lila. He was also cherished by cousins that he loved like siblings; and his many friends.

To honor Jim's love of music and his continuous efforts to encourage young folks to play, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in his memory to the WCHS Show Band, 1 Highlander Drive, Upper Glade WV, 26266 for the purchase and repair of instruments.
