James F. Burroughs Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James F. Burroughs of Webster Springs, West Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Forrest Burroughs and Rebecca Rogers Burroughs; his siblings, Jack Burroughs and Jeannine White (Richard Lee White); his brother-in-law Richard Brannan; and his niece Brenda Garden.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn "Cookie" Moore Burroughs; his children, Todd Burroughs and Angie Sprouse (Mike); his sister Marty Brannon; his sister-in-law Hilda Burroughs; his grandchildren, Isaac Sprouse (Daydra) and Alexus Sprouse (Anthony Dean); and his great grandchildren, Anslee, Gatlin Dean and Avelyn Jane Sprouse.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dodd & Reed Funeral Home (155 Mc Graw Ave, Webster Springs, WV 26288). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
