He is survived by: his children, Burton Bell, Jr. (Ming), Wallace Bell (Frances), Randall Bell (Jodi), Kathie Kiser (Stan), Karen Hilbourn (Wayne) and Mary Ross (Malcolm); and his sister Nonie Knight (Sampson). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
