He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kennedy and Freda Kennedy; and his granddaughter Katelynn Leigh Kennedy. He is survived by: his brother Frank Kennedy Jr.; his daughters, Jessica Tharp (Daniel) and Audrey Kennedy; his grandchildren, Jessa Danielle Tharp, Emily Hope Kennedy and Charles Tharp; his girlfriend Loretta Roberts of Wayne; his girlfriend's daughters, Susan Alam (Kyle) of Huntington and Debra Eddie of Wayne; his close friend Steve Hatfield of Salt Rock; and also, Freyer and Kingston.
