He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lawson and Lena Pauley; his wife Ruth Ann Mahon Lawson; the mother of his children Linda Kay Cricks; his children, Jan Schall, John Robert Cricks and Perry Edward Lawson; his sister Betty Stapleton; and his adoptive parents, John Pack and Minnie Pack.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Followay (Rick) of Huntington, WV, Melinda Cricks (Brad Lambert) of Wayne, Mark Joseph Cricks of Wayne, Larry Edward Cricks (Bertha) of Wayne and Jimmy Lee Cricks of Wayne; his grandchildren, Gregory A. White, Brittany Nance, Kristin Rose, Ryan Austin Cricks, Tyler Edward Cricks, Emily Paige Cricks, Xavier Whitley Noris Cricks and Emmanuel Tate Cricks; his great grandchildren, Carsen Nance, Addilyn Nance, Annabelle Parsons and Lillian Rowe; and his nephews, Junior Stapleton (Letha) and Sam Stapleton (Della). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to assist with final expenses.
