He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Calvin and Virgie May Arnholt Shepard; his wife Naomi Ruth Channell Shepard; and his siblings, Glenn Edward "Jake" Shepard, Mabel Macklem, Thelma Sheeler and Janet Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Toni Shepard of Wayne and Kenneth E. Shepard (Mary Watts) of Ashland; his siblings, Barbara "Babs" Parsons (Alton) of Thomas, Betty "Patsy" Woods of Thomas, Jerry Shepard of Thomas and Bernard Shepard of Aurora, WV; his granddaughter MacKenzie Shepard of Athens, OH; and his close friend D. C. Morris.
