She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Poindexter and Carrie Casteel Poindexter; her husband George Thomas Adkins; her son Jerry Poindexter; and her siblings, Beatrice Clay, Maggie Beckelheimer, Jean O'Conner, Arnold, Clyde and Glen Poindexter.
She is survived by: her sons, Delbert Clayton Poindexter of Florida, Wendell Eugene Poindexter of Huntington and George "Tommy" Adkins, Jr. of Huntington; and her grandson Eric Poindexter of Florida.
