It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Effie Darby (Wayne, West Virginia), who passed away on May 25, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Smith and Sadie Smith; her husbands, Millard Wallace and Allen Darby Jr.; her daughters, Nancy Wallace, Bonnie Wallace, Brenda Eaves and Karen Bodiou; and her siblings, Virgie Wallace, Opal Walker, John Smith, Jessie Smith, Charlie Smith, Paul Smith, Leo Smith, Dencil Smith, Frank Smith, Wayne Smith Jr. and Mitchell Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Sadie Osborne (Jerry) of East Lynn, W. V, Connie Martin of Cincinnati, Larry Wallace of California, Tom Wallace (Tammie) of Washington, Penn, Tim Darby (Linda) of Wayne and Kevin Darby (Debbie) of Wayne. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
