It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Rodney Simpkins of Wayne, West Virginia, born in Huntington, West Virginia, who passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackie Ross and Lena Gaynelle Fry Ross; his grandparents, Forster B. "Bub" Fry, Bessie Adkins Fry of Thelma Ross and Callie Simpkins; and his niece Christy Ross.
He is survived by: his siblings, Teresa Baker (Jackie) of Lavalette, WV, Larry Simpkins (Diane) of Utah and Jamie Ross (Lisa) of Wayne, WV; his nieces and nephews, Erica Wellman, Allison Perdue, Ashley Elkins, Tyler Simpkins and Forester Simpkins; his stepdaughter Briana Smith; his uncles, Ronnie Ross and Bernard Ross; and his friend Scarlet Mills Mong. He is also survived by cousins, family, and friends.
