He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Pelfrey and Thelma Wilkes Pelfrey; and his brother Roy Lee Pelfrey. He is survived by: his children, Erin Palmer (Brad) of Princeton, W. V, Jessi Pelfrey of Oceana, W. V, Shara Talbert of Huntington, W. V and Sam Runyon of Huntington; and his grandchild Halie.
