He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan Smith and Elsie Smith; his wife Beverly Steele Smith; his former wife Mikalene Clark Smith; and his grandson Nathan Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Smith (Crystal), Jim Smith (Cheryl), Tom Smith (Melinda) and Stacy Garrard (Brent Garrard); and his grandchildren, Billy, Sarah, Amber, Kayla, Boyd Lee, Aria and Dane. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Morris Funeral Home Chapel (79 Bridge St, Wayne, WV 25570). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
