He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Spence and Armilda Watts Spence; and his siblings, Thelma Pack, Mary Potter, Milda Napier, Charles, Guy and Freddie Spence.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon K. Bowers Spence; his sons, Brian Scott Spence (Donnetta) of Lavalette, WV and Kevin Ryan Spence of Wayne, WV; his siblings, Vada Cordell (Johnnie) of Athens, AL and Chester Spence of Virginia; and his granddaughter Britney Ariana Spence.
