He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Brightwell, Jr. and Alice Owens Brightwell; and his sister Karen "Sue" Shuman. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Brightwell of Waverly, WV; his daughter Melissa Brightwell of Pennsboro, WV; his siblings, Charles "Chuck" Brightwell, Rita Pratt (Dave) and Sandy Carroll; and his nephew Scott Pratt. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
