It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Julian Hackathorn of Waverly, West Virginia, who passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Clarence and Della Virginia Hackthorn; his daughter Alicia Shreves; and his granddaughter Samantha Shreves. He is survived by: his wife Joni Hackathorn; his children, David Hackathorn (Chris), Julia Hunt (James), Jamie Hackathorn and Julian Hackathorn (Alicia Marshall); his siblings, Jim Hackathorn (Lynn), Tom Hackathorn (Edith) and Martha Strickland; his sisters-in-law, Karen Binegar (Jerry) and Andretta Condon (Tim); and his grandchildren, Niki Shreves, Miranda Hackathorn, Jaden Bird, Garrett Sunderman (Madison), Alexia Sunderman, Aven Hunt, Payton Hunt and Jake Hackathorn (Kelly).
