She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas E. Oates and Vergie Oates; her daughter Mary V. Manning; and her siblings, William, James, John, George, Jeff Oates, Vernia McFarland, Bertha Ramey and Betty Walters.

She is survived by: her son David L. Oates of Romney, WV.
