Earl B. King Obituary
Earl B. (Pete) King "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.". Earl B. King (Pete), 73 of Horsecreek went to be with the Lord Friday November 19, 2021 at Welch Community Hospital. Pete was born on November 22, 1947 of the late Norma and Earl King and was the first born of 3 children.
He was a retired over-the-road truck driver and was a member of the Horsecreek Church of the Living God. Pete always enjoyed spending time with his family and was always doing what he could to make everyone laugh. He has left a lot of good memories with those he leaves behind. Pete spent much of his recent years battling his health, but by God's grace and the love for his family, he pushed through his battles with a smile on his face and Hope in his Heart.
Along with his parents, Pete was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby E. King and one sister, Betty J. Coleman both formerly of Iaeger. Also preceded in death was his grandparents, 2 infant daughters and 2 infant grandsons. Those left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Armeda of 32 years and three great grandsons of the home Caden, Brayden and Hayden Ball.
Also left to cherish his memories are his 3 sons of which he loved very much Scotty King of Princeton WV, Kenny King of NC and Eugene King (Jackie) of Princeton WV. Pete also left behind 15 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He loved his sister and brother in laws very much also, but shared a special bond with his double sister in law, Myrtle King.
Fulfilling Pete's wishes, his remains will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Sunday November 28, 2021 at 2 pm at the Horsecreek Church of the Living God. Officiating will be Paul Caudill and John Wheeler.
