She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Mitchem and Nellie Davis Mitchem; and her son John Jesse Parks. She is survived by: her sons, Timothy Parks (Amy) of Bluefield, WV and James Parks of Bluefield, WV; her siblings, Donald Mitchem (Terry) of Occoquan, VA, Allen Mitchem (Sally) of North Carolina, Albert Mitchem (Martha) of Port St, Helen Ingram of Virginia and Dora Duncan of War, WV; and her grandchildren, Dewey, Joseph Lambert, Tiffany and Kylazia Parks.
