He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Melvin and Florence Eloise Johnson Proctor; his sisters, Tonie Proctor and Susie Bush; and his grandchild Branch Matthew Kizer.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Dianne Shafer Proctor of Walton; his children, Diana "Lynn" Marks (Dave) of Spencer, Jason Douglas Proctor (Christina) of Sissonville and Jamie Rolfes of Charleston; his grandchildren, Kadee Kizer, Kara Kizer, Tiffany Proctor, Austin Proctor, Mason Proctor, Amaya Marks, Aaliyah Rolfes and Aubree Marks; his stepgrandchildren, Braedan Stamper, Currin Woodruff and Calleigh Woodruff; his great grandchildren, Ryker Copley, Benjamin Kizer, Rowen Copley, Nolan Hensley, Autumn Kizer, Luca Proctor and James Oldaker; and his siblings, Roger Proctor (Loretta) of Walton, Deon Proctor (Susie) of Gandeeville, Reba Shafer of Walton, Nancy Looney (Lawrence) of Walton, Faye Looney (Robert) of Walton and Sandy Stricklin (Clyde) of Spencer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home (406 Market St, Spencer, WV 25276). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
