He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Stokewell and Helen Naomi Nutter Beckner; his wife Bessie Reese Beckner; his brothers, Howard, Delbert and Douglass Beckner; his granddaughter Angela Beckner; and his son-in-law Randy Bond.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas M. Beckner (Marilyn) of Walker, Steven P. Beckner (Tina) of Newark and Rebecca Johnson (Tim) of Parkersburg; his sister Mary Belle Long of Parkersburg; and his grandson Stanley Paul Beckner (Brittany) of Newark.
