It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Myrtle Madeline Arthur of Waiteville, West Virginia, born in Montcalm, West Virginia, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Sublett and Ella Hamlin Sublett; her husband Calvin H. Arthur; her siblings, Claude, Mark, Lewis, Harry, Herbert Sublett, Wanda Gills, Ida Mae Clay, Amy Quillen, Ruth Blankenship, Eunice Robinett and Maxine Sublett; and her granddaughter Kelly Lawrence.
She is survived by: her children, James "Jim" Arthur of Waiteville, WV and Pam Ayers of Kingsport, TN; her sister Eldora Fleeger of Michigan; her grandchildren, Heather Lawrence, Tiffany Clark, Dani Ayers, Sami Ayers, David Ayers, Jr., Megan Ayers and Jimmy Garrett; and her great grandchildren, Ceara Clark, Malachi Clark, Marlee Lawrence and Oakley Smith. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic regulations, those who are planning on attending the services are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing.
