He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse D. Howard and Lillian Kuhn Howard; his grandparents, Sherman, Esta Cross Howard, Harry and Lucy Davis Kuhn; and his brother-in-law James Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Willa R. McCord; his children, Debra Diane Howard Dyer of Fairview, Ricky Gene (Deanna Howard), Sherman Garrison (Michele Howard), Michael Fenton (Marrisa Howard), Kerry Lee (Leiann Howard) and David (Willa); his grandchildren, David (Lisa Dyer), Daniel (Aimee Dyer), Nicole (Steve Stiltner), Cassandra Howard (Wane Moeller), Travis Howard, Ashlynn Howard, Skylar Howard, Kelly (Vina Poitevint), Marie (Julius), Kara Nickelson (Tommy Patterson) and Brandon Nickelson; and his siblings, Sandra Lynn Porter of Rivesville, WV and Donald Ralph Howard of Crossroads. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
