Whitaker of Volga, West Virginia, born in Atlantic City, New Jersey, who passed away on July 17, 2021, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Male and Frieda Filer Gipson; her son Denis F. Snead; and her sisters, Diana Flanigan and Johanna Philpott.
She is survived by: her husband Denis C. Whitaker; her daughter Denise M. Dixon (Joe); her granddaughter Isabella Somers (Anthony); her great grandchild Anthony; and her nieces and nephews, Tischa, Phyllis, Tonya, Vince, Keith, Mason, Branca and Merill.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Lewis/Upshur Animal Shelter Humane Society.
