He is survived by: his wife Linda Stanley Butterfield; his sons, William Shawn Butterfield (Stephanie) of Columbia and John Matthew Butterfield of Charlotte, NC; his brother Thomas D. Butterfield (Nina) of McConnelsville, OH; his brother-in-law Dick Stanley (Linda); his grandchildren, Austin, Chase and Hallie Butterfield; and his mother-in-law Vivian Stanley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
