He was predeceased by: his parents, John Earl and Erma Ellen Pierson (Johnson); and his siblings, George Burton Pierson (Kelsie) and Ruth Ellen Smith (Johnnie). He is survived by: his wife Martha Elizabeth "Betty" Pierson of Vienna; his sister Rosa Lee Blake of Frametown, WV; his children, Laura Elizabeth Pierson of Parkersburg and John Leslie Pierson (Krista) of Parkersburg; and his grandchildren, Matthew John Pierson of New York City and Jenna Tanaka (Matteo) of Miami, FL..
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Leavitt Funeral Services and Crematory - Parkersburg (403 7th St, Parkersburg, WV 26101). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church (55 Rosemar Rd, Parkersburg, WV 26104).
