He is survived by: his parents, Howard Hal and Linda Sue Hoy (Waters) of Parkersburg; his wife Ruth Ellen Hoy (Shaffer); his children, Zackery Thomas Hoy and Sierra Brooke Hoy; his sister Lisa Dianne Grant (Tom) of Vienna; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Diehl (Jon) of Vienna, Steve Shaffer (Kelly) of Vienna, Bruce Taylor (Kelly) of Florida and Ann Marie Shaffer Danner; his nieces and nephews, Emilee, Dustin (Katie), Ryan (Courtney), Joshua, Luke, Sophia and Jonny; and his pets, Jake, Molly and Cleo.
