She was predeceased by: her husband Virgil Tanner; her sister Patricia Boyd; and her parents, Lloyd Vaughan of Grantsville, WV. and Elva Vaughan of Grantsville, WV.. She is survived by: her daughters, Melody Tanner of Vienna, WV, Hayley Tanner of Vienna, WV and Abby Tanner of Vienna, WV; and her siblings, Mike Vaughan of Williamstown, WV, Caroline Charonko (John) and Susan Myers (Jerry). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is honoring Jeannie by asking for donations for her daughters' education fund.
