He was predeceased by: his parent Whitt Gherke. He is survived by: his parent Cretah Pauline Coulter; his wife Joyce; his children, Rita Chichester of Parkersburg, Mark (Alicia) of Parkersburg, Patrick (Amy) of Little Hocking and Bill Gherke (Tanya) of Parkersburg; his siblings, Frances Mason (Arthur) of Sistersville and Ethan A. "Biff" Wamsley (Sharon) of Jane Lew; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephen, Joshua, Danielle, Tyler, Allison, Jessica and Bayley; and his great grandchildren, Tori, Addison, Jocelynn, Amelia, Cooper, Gavin, Macy and Mathis.
