She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Emig and Anna Schmidt (Kaffenberger); the father of her children William Joseph Ellison; her grandson Anthony Smith; and her daughter Patty Ellison.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Smith, Lorraine Swogger (Joseph), Jessie Curtis, Brenda Ellison, Rainer Emig and Andreas Geisler; and her grandchildren, Matthew Smith, Andrew Hamrick, Amanda Hamrick, Gabby Hamrick, Joshua Deitz, Cassandra Curtis, Samantha Curtis, Sonya Metz and Autumn Terrell. She is also survived by several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
