He was predeceased by: his parents, Leila Mae Varner and Gene Leo Collins; and his brothers, Hollie Leo, Jerry Lee and Dale Collins.

He is survived by: his close friend Patricia; his children, Larry, Melinda and Logan; his grandchildren, Brittany (Cody), Tyler, Seth and Marcus; and his siblings, Donna Uhl, Theda Stephens and Martin Collins.
