He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry A. Schott and Goldendene Hopkins Schott; and his siblings, George, Charles, Henry, Earl, Carl, Robert Schott, Angelia O'Rear, Naomi Keller and Lois Shuman.

He is survived by: his children, Dennis Schott of Vienna, David Schott of Huntsville and Jama Schott of Vienna. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
