James D. Lattea Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 18, 2021, at the age of 73, James D. Lattea of Vienna, West Virginia, born in Parkersburg, West Virginia to the late George W. and Muriel E. Stotlar Lattea, passed away peacefully in his sleep beside the love of his life.
Jim was passionate about enjoying life to it's fullest. He was extra enthusiastic about WVU sports and restoring his antique Bronco. Jim was an avid lifelong fisherman, loved camping and anything outdoors. He was a man of many talents who could fix anything for you, and would- whether family, friend, neighbor, or stranger. He was the hardest worker we knew, with an ethic unmatched today. His greatest joy though came from taking care of and providing for his family. He had so much love, and left so much love. His passions and loves will be carried onward by those his love touched.
He was predeceased by : his parents, George W. Lattea and Muriel E. Stotlar Lattea; his daughter Cher Bennett; his sister Gloria J. Haverty; his grandson Chance Lattea; and his lifelong best friends and cousins, Larry Haislep and JD Welch.
Those left to cherish his memories and carry his story forward: his wife Linda Kay Collins Lattea; his sons, Braden Lattea of Vienna and Christopher Lattea of Parkersburg; his precious fur baby Ruby; his step-mother Connie Lattea of Parkersburg; his sisters, Donna Reed (John) of Vienna, Colette Frederick of Vermilion, OH and Colleen Lattea of Vienna; and his granddaughters, Kyleigh Scott, Kadie Salyers and Maddyson Lattea. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
