He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bernard Hayhurst and Eleanor O. Hayhurst; and his cousin Robert B. McHenry. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Pahl Hayhurst of Vienna; his children, Brent Hayhurst of Arlington, VA, Mark Hayhurst [Sarah] of Cross Lanes, WV, Jennifer Hayhurst [Matt Dadaian] of Vienna, WV and Jeffrey Hayhurst [Diana] of Charleston, WV; and his grandchildren, Olivia, Tyler, Maxwell, Collin, Mila, Alexander and Sylvie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to the Boys and Girls Club of Parkersburg.
