He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tichy and Emily Harvat Tichy; and his wife Hester Sue Tichy. He is survived by: his children, Terry Baiocchi (Gary) of Philadelphia, PA, Thomas E. Tichy (Cindy) of Parkersburg and Tim Tichy (Daphne) of Parkersburg; his grandchildren, Ashley, Matt, Jason, Steven, Cindy, Clayton and Erica; his great grandchildren, Lydia, Austin, Payson and Jonathan; his niece Toni Layfield; and his friend Pumpkin.
